Hi travelers! My name is Wallis, and I am a Belgian grad student living and working in Chicago. Like many of you, I want to share my passion for travelphotography and inspire people to find their inner Indiana Jones (or just inner traveler, whatever floats your boat).

I started (really) traveling about 8 months ago. I just got out of a mentally abusive relationship and I was a complete wreck (i know, what a cliché). I was sinking into a deep, dark hole for months until one day, back in May 2016, my friends convinced me to go with them on a weekend roadtrip to Nashville. I gave it a try, and found some kind of weird liberation to being stuck in a car for 8 hours. It was absolutely mind-calming, and even though I would cry here and there, the feeling of spending one weekend away from all familiarity had never felt better. That very day, I decided to start traveling as often as I could. In the beginning, it was a way of freeing my mind from the darkness, but over time, I started realizing that I had acquired an addiction to discovering and exploring the unknown.

Today, my mind and soul are happy and at peace. I have reorganized my priorities in life in order to always get the chance to travel. Unfortunately, I haven't (like many travelbloggers) figured out a way to make a living out of traveling (yet!). So in the meantime I work part time in Chicago, save up my money by not buying new clothes or eating out, and regularly check websites for cheap tickets or deals.

Ps: Keep in mind, although I always post about one specific trip at a time, they are not always in chronological order.
